Hello Parents,

I am excited to announce that I have been busy creating social media profiles for Oasis of Healing Psychotherapy! This initiative is a reflection of my passion for connecting with providers and parents who are looking for additional support for their children.

As both a parent and a therapist, I know the struggles that come with parenting, especially in nurturing our children's emotional and behavioral health.

The Importance of Social Connections

In our digital world, social connections can greatly enhance the support we receive. By establishing our social media profiles, I aim to create a place where parents can easily access valuable resources, share their stories, and connect with one another.

Research shows that parents who have social support are more likely to feel confident in their parenting abilities. By building a supportive online community, we can inspire confidence in those navigating the challenges of raising children facing behavioral issues or emotional struggles.

What is PCIT?

For those unfamiliar, PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy), is a dynamic therapy designed to boost positive interactions between parents and children while addressing behavioral challenges. This method is especially effective for children aged 2 to 6 years old. It focuses on enhancing the relationship between parents and kids and has shown a 70% success rate in improving behavioral outcomes.

At Oasis of Healing Psychotherapy, we provide psychotherapy services to families residing in Indiana and Florida, and our expertise is PCIT.

Connecting with Parents

One of my main goals in creating these social media profiles is to engage directly with parents like you. Many parents are eager for guidance and community. I plan to create a variety of engaging content designed specifically for parents navigating the complexities of child development and behavior.

Community Feedback Matters

Your experiences and thoughts are vital! I welcome your feedback on the content that matters most to you. Are there specific challenges you're facing? Or resources you believe would benefit fellow parents?

Creating an inclusive, affirming, and safe space enables us to learn from one another, allowing me to customize content that truly addresses our community's needs.

Building a Connection with PCIT Providers

In addition to connecting with parents, I want to network with other PCIT providers. By creating a collaborative space, we can enhance the support available for families.

If you are a PCIT provider in Florida, Indiana, or elsewhere, I would love to hear about your experiences and strategies to help equip parents with the tools they need to succeed.

Let's Get Started!

As we begin this journey together, I am hopeful about the opportunities ahead. The name Oasis of Healing came to me in 2016 when I was journaling about my professional goals and the ways I want to show up and give back to our community.

I invite you to follow me on our social media pages, engage with our content, and share your stories. Your participation not only enriches our community but also helps other parents feel less isolated on their journeys.

Moving Forward Together

I am filled with excitement about these social media profiles that will connect parents, providers, and incredible resources focused on parenting support. The work we do at Oasis of Healing Psychotherapy is meaningful, and I look forward to developing relationships that deepen our understanding of parenting.

Here’s to helping safe, inclusive and affirming communities grow by building more parenting and child mental wellness supports!

Thank you for being part of this adventure. I can’t wait to connect with you!
